Easy Scones: Tips for preparing them in a few minutes
When there are guests for tea, scones are the perfect ones to offer, as they are tasty, scrumptious and very easy and quick to prepare, as well. There are very many types of scones and the internet is full of recipes for various kinds of scones. Scones are supposed to be very simple to make but there are certain trivial mistakes that may deceive while making scones.
After all, there are only a few ingredients to scone making, such as flour, baking powder, butter, sugar, milk and eggs. So, what could go wrong in making the right delicious scones? The amount of ingredients that are added are vital and it should be first ascertained whether you want to use whole meal flour or white flour, since the whole meal flour absorbs more liquid than white flour and it would have a telling effect on the ultimate taste of the scone.
The size of the eggs taken is also important, as there would be a considerable difference in the amount of liquid in small and large eggs. Adding baking powder gives an extra boost to the scones and if a food processor is used to make scones, the job becomes much easier. It is enough to combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and chopped butter and blend them, then pour the beaten eggs, and gradually add milk until the mixture forms a ball. Knead the dough until it is smooth and make two cm thick rounds and bake them in the oven at 200 degree Celsius for 10 to 12 minutes.
Of late, commercial scones mixes and scone pans are available that make scone making very easy. Scones are the obvious choice for an easy and quick way to entertain the guests for all points of time like tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
