Cheese Scones Preparation Methods
Cheese scones are savory scones which have been a favorite of many. When the cheese scones are made fresh, warm and nice nothing can beat them, they are so delicious and lip smacking. These cheese scones can be made at home it self as it is very easy and hygienic to prepare at home.
Ingredients required for making cheese scones are:
Self raising flour 225 g, pinch of salt, butter 55g, grated mature cheddar cheese 25g, milk 150ml.
Method for preparing cheese scones:
Salt is added to the self raising flour and the butter is rubbed in to it. Grated cheddar cheese is then stirred into the flour and butter mixture and the required quantity of milk is added so that it is made into soft and smooth dough. The dough is then transferred to a flour smeared work area and is kneaded very gently. The dough is than patted out to a thick one measuring two and three fourth centimeter.
Using a cutter rounds are stamped out and are placed on a slightly greased baking sheet. The rest of the dough is knead slightly and stamped out so that all the dough is used up. The scone tops are then brushed using a little amount of milk and then baked for nearly twelve to fifteen minutes time until it becomes golden brown and risen. After baking they are placed on a wire rack for cooling and then preserved or served.
